For The Boy…
Like the title says, this is my summer hideaway. Will it turn into a fall, winter, or spring hideaway? Who knows? But right now, this is an escape from the every day blog (linked here), the every day grind, the… every day.
I got here via Let’s Get This Foundation and I thought-oh! A new place to write… what can I do with this? Answer: I haven’t the slightest, LOL, but I came to tumblr for the boy, and I like the idea of sticking around.
If you havent gone over to Let’s Get This, head over and look around. The concept is amazing, the follow through has been remarkable, and the founder? Well he’s just your average Joe ;) Right now there is a book drive, meant to give age appropriate reading materials to kids who may not have books otherwise. The specifications are simple- books must be brand new, and the target age range is borth-5 yrs, but as Mr Mac says, if there’s a book you love for a different age group, by all means, send it along!
I see LGT taking off and venturing into a lot of different directions. A foundation started by (my favorite guy) one of the five hardest working men in show business? With the droves of loyal fans who have wonderful hearts and mad love for these guys? With the diverse stories, causes and issues we all have to bring to the table, I have a feeling this foundation could really have an imapct on a lot of lives.
